Hey Gladiators,
Thank you for participating in our early spring warm-up group and helping us test this pre-release version of the new Gladiator Digital Experience. Gladiators like you have been sharing insightful feedback on the player experience and we're using those insights to make Gladiator Tennis even better – streamlining everything from scheduling to connecting with opponents, making it easier for you to play more tennis.
To show how your input translates directly into action, I'm kicking off regular updates on the latest features and improvements, starting now:
What's New This Month
-
Say Goodbye to 'Next Up': Your Schedule, Simplified We heard loud and clear that the "Next Up" match concept could be confusing. We've removed it! Now, all your scheduled matches appear at the same level, giving you and your opponents the freedom to decide the playing order that works best for your schedules. More flexibility, less confusion.
-
An App-Like Experience, No Download Needed (Yet!) While a native iOS/Android app is planned for later in 2025, we've built our new website to be fully responsive, working beautifully on your phone, tablet, or desktop. For that quick-access, app-like feel, you can easily add the Gladiator Tennis site directly to your phone's home screen. Check out our simple guide here: Get Gladiator on your mobile device
-
Update Your Home Court with Ease Need to change your primary playing location? No problem! You can now update your home court directly from the main menu anytime.
-
Know Your League Instantly Unsure which league or skill level you're currently competing in? Your active league is now clearly displayed right at the top of your Schedule and Availability pages.
-
Get to Know Your Opponent Want a bit more info before coordinating that first match? Clicking on an opponent's name will show you their larger profile photo, their designated home court, and their contact details – all in one convenient spot.
-
Clearer Home vs. Away Identification We've tackled the confusion around who is “hosting” (aka, who is responsible for bringing a new can of balls!). Look for new, explicit 'Home' and 'Away' badges on your match listings to make it crystal clear.
On The Horizon
We're not stopping here! Here's a peek at what we're actively working on:
- Edit & Verify Scores: We know that sometimes scores are not input correct, we'll be introducing functionality to go back and update scores, whether you or your opponent originally entered them.
- Set Match Time: The ability to propose and confirm specific match dates and times directly within the platform is high on our priority list. Stay tuned!
- Better Court Finder: We know finding convenient courts is crucial. We're actively re-evaluating and redesigning the entire court searching and selection experience. Expect significant improvements here in the coming weeks.
- Your Complete Match History: We're diligently working on migrating all your past match results from the old platform into the new Gladiator Digital Experience. You'll soon have access to your full history right here.
Your Voice Shapes the Future
