Why I'm A Gladiator

Zach M. | 5.0
"I have been involved in Gladiator Tennis for nearly 15 years. I have watched the league grow, expand, and become more competitive. It's amazing to see so many different levels of competition all under one roof. I can't wait to see what the next 15 years holds."

Kim Y. | 3.5
“My husband Bob and I both did Gladiator tennis last year and loved it! We met a lot of nice people, played some wonderful tennis and look forward to playing again next season.”

Robert F. | 4.25
“It's easy to include in my life since I can set up matches around other commitments in my schedule. I've met some great people, and I'm still able to keep that competitive drive and still compete for awards.”

Brian Q. | 4.0
“Gladiator Tennis, is hands down, the best league around!! It has been great to watch this league grow over the years and it is amazing to see the public courts filled up with Gladiator matches on any given day or night.”

Kolleen M. | 4.0
"I picked up a racket for the first time at the age of 42, a friend suggested I try Gladiator so that I could play against similar-level players. It was a low-risk, high-reward situation for me. I credit Gladiator with turning this newbie into a tennis-obsessed player."

Ash M. | 5.0

Questions?
New to Gladiator? Here are the questions we hear most. If you don't see the answer here, or in our extended FAQ section, please email us. We'll get back to you within one business day.
Gladiator is a flex tennis league where you schedule matches on your own time. You’ll be placed in a faction with players of similar skill and location, then play 5–7 matches over 6–8 weeks. Scores are tracked, standings are updated, and top players qualify for end-of-season playoffs. Learn more about how to sign up.
Flex means you and your opponent coordinate directly to pick a time and place that works for both of you — no fixed game nights. You choose when to play within each week's window, and you choose where from a list of approved public courts near you. You get real competitive league structure without a rigid schedule.
We follow standard NTRP ratings from 2.5 (beginner) to 5.5+ (elite). Check out our Skill Levels page for detailed descriptions and video examples at each level. If you're not sure, select "Not Sure" at checkout — our league coordinator will personally reach out, discuss your background, and offer a free ratings match if needed. You won't get stuck at the wrong level.
When you register, you choose a Home Court from our approved list — typically a free public park court near your home or workplace. You'll play roughly half your matches there. Away matches are generally within a 20-minute drive of your Home Court.
You'll see all of your opponents on the first day of the season. Each match has a weekly deadline. You coordinate directly with your opponent using our built-in scheduling and availability tools. You can play ahead, reschedule for rain, or recruit a sub if life gets in the way. The league is built to flex around real life.
Yes. All completed singles match scores are automatically submitted to UTR each week — no extra steps required. If you already have a UTR account, make sure the email on your Gladiator account matches so scores link correctly. Doubles and mixed doubles matches are not submitted to UTR. WTN integration is coming soon!
Yes. Singles players who win their faction or accumulate enough Playoff Points across a three-season cycle qualify for the Colosseum Playoffs — a single-elimination tournament at your skill level. You need to complete at least 4 matches in a season to be eligible. Win or lose, you win Playoff Points for each match you play. The best way to qualify is to play as many matches as you can.
It brings a competitive feel back to tennis for me. The scores count — that adds excitement.
Ben Wolfe
With a background that spans competitive junior play to captaining local club teams, he understands exactly what Denver players are looking for: great competition, reliable partners, and a way to stay active in the Mile High air.
"Denver has one of the most active tennis scenes in the country, but finding the right match at the right level can still feel like a challenge. I’m thrilled to be the Denver Ambassador because I want to bridge that gap. My goal is to help every player—from those just picking up a racket to the 4.5 vets—find their place in our league and experience the best tennis this city has to offer."
