In 10+ years of playing, this is easily the best league I’ve ever been a part of.
Skip the standings and just get reps in. The Gauntlet matches you with local players at your exact level who just want to rally and play.

Questions?
New to Gladiator? Here are the questions we hear most. If you don't see the answer here, or in our extended FAQ section, please email us. We'll get back to you within one business day.
Gladiator is a flex tennis league where you schedule matches on your own time. You’ll be placed in a faction with players of similar skill and location, then play 5–7 matches over 6–8 weeks. Scores are tracked, standings are updated, and top players qualify for end-of-season playoffs. Learn more about how to sign up.
Flex means you and your opponent coordinate directly to pick a time and place that works for both of you — no fixed game nights. You choose when to play within each week's window, and you choose where from a list of approved public courts near you. You get real competitive league structure without a rigid schedule.
We follow standard NTRP ratings from 2.5 (beginner) to 5.5+ (elite). Check out our Skill Levels page for detailed descriptions and video examples at each level. If you're not sure, select "Not Sure" at checkout — our league coordinator will personally reach out, discuss your background, and offer a free ratings match if needed. You won't get stuck at the wrong level.
When you register, you choose a Home Court from our approved list — typically a free public park court near your home or workplace. You'll play roughly half your matches there. Away matches are generally within a 20-minute drive of your Home Court.
You'll see all of your opponents on the first day of the season. Each match has a weekly deadline. You coordinate directly with your opponent using our built-in scheduling and availability tools. You can play ahead, reschedule for rain, or recruit a sub if life gets in the way. The league is built to flex around real life.
Yes. All completed singles match scores are automatically submitted to UTR each week — no extra steps required. If you already have a UTR account, make sure the email on your Gladiator account matches so scores link correctly. Doubles and mixed doubles matches are not submitted to UTR. WTN integration is coming soon!
Yes. Singles players who win their faction or accumulate enough Playoff Points across a three-season cycle qualify for the Colosseum Playoffs — a single-elimination tournament at your skill level. You need to complete at least 4 matches in a season to be eligible. Win or lose, you win Playoff Points for each match you play. The best way to qualify is to play as many matches as you can.
It brings a competitive feel back to tennis for me. The scores count — that adds excitement.
