Gladiator Tennis is now a USTA Connect Partner and your matches count globally.

Spring 2026 brings a meaningful upgrade for every Gladiator player: your match results now flow automatically into the global tennis rating system used in more than 170 countries.

Gladiator Tennis is officially a USTA Connect Partner, and as part of that integration, every eligible singles and doubles match you complete generates and updates your ITF World Tennis Number (WTN) automatically, with no extra steps required on your end.

What is the ITF World Tennis Number?

The ITF World Tennis Number is the global standard for tennis player ratings, developed by the International Tennis Federation and adopted by national tennis associations worldwide, including the USTA. It runs on a 40-1 scale (40 being a beginner, 1 being elite professional) and it applies to all players regardless of age, gender, or ability level.

What makes it different from a static self-rating is that it updates dynamically based on your actual results. The algorithm analyzes match scores at the set level, weights recent results more heavily, and builds in a confidence indicator that grows the more you play. The more matches you play, the more accurate and reliable your rating becomes.

You can view your WTN at usta.com or worldtennisnumber.com. Starting this spring, it will also appear directly in your Gladiator player profile.

What this means for your game

Your Gladiator matches have always meant something competitively. Now they mean something beyond Gladiator too.

Every eligible result you post this season – wins, losses, close sets, dominant performances – feeds into a rating that is recognized by players, coaches, and programs globally. If you ever enter a USTA tournament, play in another league, join a club program, or simply want to know where your game actually stands relative to the broader tennis world, your WTN gives you that benchmark. It travels with you.

For players who have been competing seriously in Gladiator for multiple seasons, this is a meaningful recognition of the work you've been putting in on the court.

Finally, rated Gladiator Doubles matches are here

This integration comes with a meaningful update for doubles players. Singles players have had global rating options available for some time through our UTR integration but doubles players haven't had an equivalent… until now.

With WTN integration, your doubles and mixed doubles results in Gladiator generate a dedicated doubles WTN, separate from your singles rating. If doubles is primarily how you play, your game is now tracked at a global level in a way it wasn't before.

"We built Gladiator around the belief that recreational tennis deserves to be taken seriously– that the matches you play on a public court on a Tuesday night should count for something real. Becoming a USTA Connect Partner and integrating with WTN is the most concrete expression of that belief we've made yet. Your game has always mattered. Now there's a global record to prove it.

How it works

When you complete an eligible Gladiator match, the result is automatically submitted applied to your WTN. Nothing changes about how you schedule, play, or report scores. You just play.

The one thing to verify: your Gladiator account email should match the email on your USTA account. If they match, you're already set and results will sync from your first match this season. If they're different, a new USTA account will be created automatically. You'll need to contact USTA support to merge your accounts. (Details are in the FAQ below.)

What matches count

Completed singles, doubles, and mixed doubles matches are submitted. Player-initiated sub matches, defaults, and incomplete matches are not. This is live across all active Gladiator markets: Chicago, St. Louis, Miami/Fort Lauderdale, The Palm Beaches, Denver, and Milwaukee. It will also be live across all future markets

How much does it cost?

Nothing changes about your registration. WTN integration is included at no additional charge.

Enjoy dual ratings at no extra cost

Gladiator now offers match results that count toward both WTN and UTR, making it one of the only leagues in the country, where a single match contributes to both major global rating systems. If you care about your ratings, this upgrade is for you.

FAQ

Do I need a USTA account?

You'll be prompted to connect one at your next login. Players without an existing USTA account will have one created automatically as part of the process.

My Gladiator email and USTA email are different.

A new USTA account will be created tied to your Gladiator email, but your existing WTN history won't transfer automatically. Contact USTA support at customercare@usta.com to request account merging. Updating your Gladiator email to match your USTA email before your first match is the cleanest fix.

Does this apply to mixed doubles?

Yes. Completed doubles and mixed doubles matches both count toward your doubles WTN.

Where do I see my WTN?

In your Gladiator player profile alongside your other ratings, and at usta.com or worldtennisnumber.com.

Is there an extra cost?

No. Included with your standard registration.

Will junior matches count toward WTN?

Junior matches will not count towards WTN at this time. Stay tuned for updates.
