If you haven't already, please create an account on our Gladiator Player Site. Please ensure you use the same email that you used to purchase the league to create your Gladiator player account.Once the league start date approaches, you will be placed in a league and will see your competition on your dashboard in the player app. Look for an email the day that your league starts to see your league placement and competition.Please note: Scheduled are released the first day of the league, not before.

Where do I select my doubles partner?

Before you complete your purchase, you will see a check box to indicate that you need a doubles partner assigned. If you have a doubles partner, please enter their full name in the box right above the "Add To Cart" button.If you completed checkout for doubles without providing a doubles partner but you have found someone, please email hello@mygladiator.io with the name and email of your doubles partner. Please ensure your doubles partner also registers for a league and creates a player account!If you haven't done so already, please also ensure you have created a player account on the Gladiator Tennis Player Site

If you'd like to register for both yourself and your partner, purchase 2 of the same doubles league.Please ensure both you and your partner create an account on the Gladiator Player Site Please share your double's partner's name at checkout. What is Gladiator Tennis?

Gladiator Tennis is a self-scheduled, flexible tennis league that allows players to compete at their own pace. It operates outdoors during warm seasons and offers indoor play in colder months

How do I join the league?

You can sign up by purchasing a league on gladiatortennis.com and then creating your profile in the Gladiator Player Site. Select your skill level and home court, and you’ll be placed into a Faction based on your location and experience.

How are matches scheduled?

Both players are responsible for contacting each other to arrange match times. Matches are usually scheduled for evenings or weekends but can be played at any mutually agreed time. We recommend trying to play at least 1 match per week for the duration of the season.

What happens if I can't play a match by the deadline?

Recommended “Report Score By” dates are flexible—matches can be played and reported anytime before the season ends. However, if one player is clearly more available and the "Report Scores By" date has past, they may claim a default. Stay communicative to avoid issues.

How do I report match scores?

The winner of the match typically reports the score on the website. Both players are responsible for ensuring scores are accurate and reported before the deadline.

How do I set up a Ratings Match?

The League Coordinator will arrange a Ratings Match for you with a nearby player in the league who is playing at the skill level that you enter when creating your profile. When the League Coordinator locates a player who is available to play you for the Ratings Match, you and that player will be notified over email and prompted to play. You or the Rating Player then report the score of your Ratings Match to the League Coordinator. Based on the outcome of the match, the League Coordinator may adjust your skill level up or down, or keep it at the same level.Please note, Ratings Matches will only be offered for OUTDOOR tennis leagues. If you are a first time Gladiator signing up for an INDOOR tennis league, your league coordinator will review your self-rating and contact you as necessary to place you into the appropriate league.

How do I choose the right skill level?

Gladiator Tennis uses a skill level system based on USTA and UTR ratings. You can select a level during registration, or you can be assigned one after playing a “ratings match” before the season starts.

What if I'm unsure about my skill level?

Accepted Answer

If you’re not sure of your skill level, self-rate using the Skill Levels page or arrange a ratings match before the season. Players who sign up just before the deadline may not be rated before the season starts.

Can I change my skill level?

Accepted Answer

Yes. At the end of each season, your skill level may be adjusted based on your player rating. Players with a strong rating move up, while those struggling at their current level may move down.

What should I do if my opponent doesn't respond to schedule a match?

If your opponent doesn’t respond to calls, texts, or emails by the Friday before the match week, you can claim a default win or recruit a sub to play against.

Can I use a substitute player?

Yes, if you’re unable to play, you can recruit a sub to compete in your place. Sub matches count towards standings but don’t affect player ratings.

How many playing seasons are there?

There are three outdoor singles seasons (Spring, Summer #1, Summer #2), one Fall outdoor season, and two indoor singles seasons. Doubles and mixed doubles have two outdoor and one indoor season.

What happens if I can't finish a match due to weather or other reasons?

If weather or another factor stops play, you can either reschedule to finish the match or report the scores as-is. Partial points may be awarded depending on the situation.

How can I rain check?

With the new site, the specific "Rain Check" button is gone because we've built more flexibility into the standard process for now.You'll see recommended "Report Score By" dates, but these are currently guides – we are not issuing automatic defaults if scores are reported after these dates. Our goal is to make scheduling easier.The only firm deadline is that all scores must be reported by the end of the season.We are monitoring how this flexibility works and may introduce stricter enforcement (like automatic defaults) in the future if needed to keep leagues running smoothly.Please still aim to play the other matches by their recommended dates. Keep in mind the standard rule allowing the more available player to claim a default after the recommended date still applies, so communication is key.

When will my schedule be available?

Your scheduled matches will be available on the first day of the season.If you are registered for Spring Doubles or Mixed Doubles, your schedules will be available by 5/16.Please keep an eye on your inbox for an email when your schedule is available or check the Gladiator Player Site on or after 5/16

Why aren’t my matches showing up on my schedule?

We’re aware of a current issue where matches may not load if you were logged in when the season transitioned from “Upcoming” to “In Season.”To fix this, simply sign out of your account and log back in:Click your profile photo in the top right cornerScroll to the bottom of the profile menuClick the “Sign Out” buttonOnce you log back in, your matches should appear and you’ll be able to start scheduling with your opponents.We’re actively working on a permanent fix and expect this to be resolved soon. Thanks for your patience, and sorry for the inconvenience!

Are there any other costs besides the entry fee?

Each home player is responsible for providing a new can of balls for the match. For indoor matches, court fees apply and are split between players.

Do I need my own tennis balls for each match?

Yes, the home player provides new balls for each match. Wilson US Open balls are recommended for outdoor matches due to their durability.

How does the point system work?

Accepted Answer

Points are awarded based on match results. The winner gets 14 points for a two-set win or 12 points for a three-set win. The loser earns points based on the number of games won, up to 8 points.

How do I qualify for the playoffs?

Division winners automatically qualify, and wildcard spots are awarded to players with the most cumulative points throughout the season

How are matches scored?

Matches are scored using the standard best 2 out of 3 sets format, with a 12-point tiebreak played at 6-6. You can also opt for the “Fast 4” format if both players agree.

Can you look up results from players that are not in your division?

Not yet, but we're working on it! A division leaderboard is in the works where you'll be able to drill into players in other factions and see their match results. It will also show how you rank across the division and where you stand overall when it come to playoffs in the fall!

How old do I need to be to play?

For the adult league, you must be 18 years or older. There is also a High School League for players aged 13 to 18.

Can I request a home court that isn't listed on the website?

Yes, you can submit a request to add a new home court. The league coordinator will determine if it’s within the playing area and meets court quality standards.

How do I reset my password?

Click Reset Password on the password page after you have entered your email. If the email you entered is tied to a Gladiator Player Account, a temporary code will be emailed to you to complete the reset password process
